5 ways to Set Up Your Home and make Healthy Habits a No-brainer

I’ve been reading the popular book “Atomic Habits” by James Clear.

I highly recommend it if you want to get rid of a bad habit.

Or start a new, healthier one.

And one of the things he talks about is the importance of setting up your environment.

Because motivation isn’t always easy, as we know.

So, to make things easy, without needing much motivation, the best way to do that is by setting up your environment.

It helps to make the healthy choice a no-brainer.

21-Day Belly Fit Self-Love Challenge

With Mother’s Day this coming Sunday…

I had an idea for a Challenge.

It’s been a while since I’ve offered a Challenge, so I thought, why not make it super exciting, and go bigger?

Since I don’t have my own mom around to spoil and celebrate, I thought I could spoil and celebrate YOU instead.

This Challenge is for YOU, especially if you need to become more of a priority in your own life.

Because, it’s definitely time that you feel important.

Not to mention worthy, beautiful, strong, bold, and at peace with who YOU are.

So, I’m challenging you to put yourself first for 21 days.

Self-love and “Women, Food, and God”

If you haven’t yet read any of Geneen Roth’s work, I really suggest you do.

In particular, her book “Women, Food, and God” is a gem.

And if weight loss doesn’t concern you, read it with whatever it is you DO want in mind.

Because she talks about what we put ourselves through to get the things we really want.

The things that consume us.

And in turn, what we consume to deal with the emotions of not having what we want.

It’s about this vicious cycle, this treadmill of self-torture so to speak.

But what I love about Geneen’s book, is that it’s really a love story.

How STRESS causes belly fat (and what you can do about it)

This is a big topic.

But it’s an important one, especially if you’re in perimenopause or menopause.

Not only in relation to belly fat.

Stress, I believe, is the major factor behind many of the issues you may be experiencing at this time of your life.

So, buckle up, here we go!

We have hormones.

All of us.

And we all need them, because hormones take care of all our bodily functions, and even affect our mood.

And when your hormones are in a good balance, life is great!

You feel good physically, and emotionally.

But when they’re imbalanced… Well, it’s probably best to stay out of your way.

So what causes hormones to become imbalanced?

Creating powerful affirmations

It was Louise Hay that first introduced me to affirmations.

(Although it may also have been Stuart Smalley on SNL, but I digress.)

You can check out her many books of affirmations on Amazon or the Hay House website.

I’ve known about affirmations for years.

I’ve read about them, heard about them, even wrote some of them out, but never really applied them as a significant tool for change in my life.

So, obviously I wasn’t really convinced they would work.

But about a month ago, I was inspired to try them again.

How to get up off the couch

Many times the problem isn’t choosing what to do.

The problem is choosing to do anything at all.

It feels like you’re stuck on the couch.

It’s not true of course, you’re free to get up and move.

But what’s happening is you’re feeling a complete lack of motivation, inspiration, desire,…

It feels like all emotion has left your body, and all you feel is empty and numb.

And part of you wants to feel numb.

It seems easier than doing something, and feeling something.

Numb feels neutral.

Except it’s not.

Webinar: Belly Fat to Belly Fit – Coming Feb 17th!

I’m really excited to bring you this free webinar!

It’s this coming Wednesday, February 17th, at 12pm, and it’s officially called:

Belly Fat to Belly Fit: How to lose belly fat, balance your hormones, and feel better in perimenopause and beyond

I know that title’s a mouthful.

But I wanted to get it all in there.

I’m focusing on belly fat because waist measurement is one of the simplest and best measures of your health.

And it’s very much related to your changing hormones and how you feel in your body.

And so, if you reduce belly fat, you can improve your health, and at the same time, positively affect your other perimenopause issues, as well as feel a whole lot better in your body.

When I talk about belly fat, I mean the fat that hangs over your waistband.

You might know it.
