5 refreshing (and non-boozy) drinks to enjoy guilt-free this summer

Summer is pretty much here, and those fruity cocktails are calling!

But, if alcohol is making sleep more challenging or your migraines or hot flashes flare up, you may want to be considering alternatives for your favorite sangrias, rosées, and long island iced teas.

So, I’m sharing a few fun options here, and bonus is they’re also no-sugar-added, which is also great news for your belly.

Happy sipping!

1. Fruity Water Explosion

Create an exciting fruit-filled ice cube tray by adding small pieces of various fruits, such as berries, sliced citrus fruits, and melon chunks, into each section.

Fill the tray with water and freeze.

Pop these colorful ice cubes into a glass of plain water for a fun and flavor-packed experience as the cubes melt.

2. Watermelon Mojito Mocktail

Blend fresh watermelon chunks, lime juice, mint leaves, and a splash of sparkling water.

Pour the mixture into a glass filled with crushed ice, and garnish with a mint sprig and a small watermelon wedge.

Sip on this vibrant mocktail and feel the tropical vibes!

3. Rainbow Iced Tea

Prepare different herbal teas in various flavors and colors, such as hibiscus, chamomile, and green tea.

Let them cool, then layer the teas in a tall glass with ice cubes.

You’ll have a visually appealing rainbow effect, and as you sip, the flavors will blend together for a delightful taste experience.

4. Cucumber-Lemonade Slushie

Blend peeled and chopped cucumbers, lemon juice, a bit of honey (optional), and ice cubes until slushie consistency.

Pour the mixture into a glass and garnish with cucumber slices and a colorful paper umbrella.

Sip on this cool and refreshing slushie on a hot summer day.

5. Pineapple-Coconut Mocktail

In a blender, combine chunks of fresh pineapple, coconut water, and a splash of lime juice.

Blend until smooth and pour it into a glass.

Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a sprig of mint.

This tropical mocktail is sure to transport you to a sunny beach!

Are you planning to change your drinking habits this summer?

I know this is big deal for many of us.

We like our cold summer beverages.

But maybe, like me, you’re ready for a change, and tired of the side-effects of alcohol and sugar.

I’m going to embrace less alcohol this summer, but will still plan to enjoy a glass of rosée from time to time.

What about you? Are you planning to ditch alcohol or have you already done it?

I’d love to hear from you and your experience.

Cheers to a fantastic summer!

Keep moving forward,

Debbie
