Personal Trainer versus Life Coach

Before becoming a life coach, I was a personal trainer.

And I loved personal training.

I would work with my clients, in their homes, giving them effective workouts in line with their physical goals.

For most, it was weight loss.

As their trainer, I’d support them, encourage them, and teach them how to do each exercise correctly.

And I’d help them stay accountable for getting their workouts done.

Which was great.

And personal training can definitely be an important part of your fitness journey.

But…

How to set up your environment for success

So this week’s blog post is actually a vlog post.

Unfortunately my written post disappeared into the ether, and thus the vlog was born.

Enjoy this special video post on SHAPING THE PATH to create great habits.

It’s one of the most powerful ways to do it.

And by the way, the book by Dan and Chip Heath is called “Switch” and it’s available on Amazon.

If you need help creating an easier path to your new habits, I’ve got you covered.

You can always book a time to talk with me, and you can find out more about working with me in my 6-month coaching program.

Until next time, keep moving forward,

Debbie

OMG!

Guess what?

When I went to publish this vlog post… My blog post reappeared!!

Slow Down to Speed Up

If you joined me for my 5-Day Challenge this week, I so appreciate it.

I hope you got a few good nuggets out of it.

If you couldn’t join us, I presented five strategies for eating.

Eating for less belly fat, better health, and more real nourishment.

The fifth strategy I talked about was called “Slow Down to Speed Up.”

It was about eating slower.

Eating slower, with awareness.

Eating slower to get results that can propel you forward.

It sounds counter-intuitive.

All movement is exercise

All movement is exercise

I’m working on strengthening my upper body.

For the past year or so, I’ve been having shoulder issues.

And I feel like I’ve lost some muscle in my arms and shoulders in general.

So, I’ve decided to get stronger.

Now I’m working out my arms and shoulders every second day.

And I have to say, it feels great.

However, this past weekend was so busy, and I didn’t get my arm workout in.

I know, it sounds like an excuse, right?

But…

5 ways to Set Up Your Home and make Healthy Habits a No-brainer

I’ve been reading the popular book “Atomic Habits” by James Clear.

I highly recommend it if you want to get rid of a bad habit.

Or start a new, healthier one.

And one of the things he talks about is the importance of setting up your environment.

Because motivation isn’t always easy, as we know.

So, to make things easy, without needing much motivation, the best way to do that is by setting up your environment.

It helps to make the healthy choice a no-brainer.

This Challenge is for YOU, especially if you need to become more of a priority in your own life.

Because, it’s definitely time that you feel important.

Not to mention worthy, beautiful, strong, bold, and at peace with who YOU are.

Webinar: Belly Fat to Belly Fit – Coming Feb 17th!

I’m really excited to bring you this free webinar!

It’s this coming Wednesday, February 17th, at 12pm, and it’s officially called:

Belly Fat to Belly Fit: How to lose belly fat, balance your hormones, and feel better in perimenopause and beyond

I know that title’s a mouthful.

But I wanted to get it all in there.

I’m focusing on belly fat because waist measurement is one of the simplest and best measures of your health.

And it’s very much related to your changing hormones and how you feel in your body.

And so, if you reduce belly fat, you can improve your health, and at the same time, positively affect your other perimenopause issues, as well as feel a whole lot better in your body.

When I talk about belly fat, I mean the fat that hangs over your waistband.

You might know it.
