Create MAGIC this year

Magic.

The dictionary says it’s, “influencing something to occur through forces beyond what we can understand.”

By that definition, it sounds like IMAGINATION is MAGIC.

We don’t quite understand it.

And yet it causes amazing things to happen.

Imagination is behind every single invention we have in our world.

The car you drive, the art on your wall, the meal on your plate, and the phone in your pocket.

It’s all magic.

But I think IMAGINATION is just where magic starts.

How to be ALL IN on yourself

I’ve been thinking about this idea.

Of being ALL IN.

Being fully committed.

No matter what.

Even when things aren’t looking good, or they’re hard, or they even seem impossible.

Staying the course.

And not giving up until I get to where I want to be.

And, even deeper, until I AM who I want to be.

That’s what being ALL IN means to me.

And I know that I haven’t always been ALL IN on doing the things that are important to me.

Slow Down to Speed Up

If you joined me for my 5-Day Challenge this week, I so appreciate it.

I hope you got a few good nuggets out of it.

It was about eating slower.

Eating slower, with awareness.

It sounds counter-intuitive.

Part of you loves this time of year, and wants to try all the things.

But another part of you wants this year to be different.

She doesn’t want to gain the five pounds, or feel crappy and bloated, or have the whole holiday revolve around food.

All movement is exercise

All movement is exercise

I’m working on strengthening my upper body.

For the past year or so, I’ve been having shoulder issues.

And I feel like I’ve lost some muscle in my arms and shoulders in general.

So, I’ve decided to get stronger.

Now I’m working out my arms and shoulders every second day.

And I have to say, it feels great.

However, this past weekend was so busy, and I didn’t get my arm workout in.

I know, it sounds like an excuse, right?

But…

Is Revenge Bedtime Procrastination an issue for you?

Last week I was away in Vancouver.

It was so great to be on a vacation again.

To visit new places, and meet people.

That’s where I found myself in a hot spring pool, talking to another woman who introduced me to the term Revenge Bedtime.

And although I knew about it as a concept, I didn’t know it had a name.

So, here’s what REVENGE BEDTIME PROCRASTINATION (which I found out is the actual term) is, in a nutshell:
