How to be ALL IN on yourself

I’ve been thinking about this idea.

Of being ALL IN.

Being fully committed.

No matter what.

Even when things aren’t looking good, or they’re hard, or they even seem impossible.

Staying the course.

And not giving up until I get to where I want to be.

And, even deeper, until I AM who I want to be.

That’s what being ALL IN means to me.

And I know that I haven’t always been ALL IN on doing the things that are important to me.

Slow Down to Speed Up

If you joined me for my 5-Day Challenge this week, I so appreciate it.

I hope you got a few good nuggets out of it.

If you couldn’t join us, I presented five strategies for eating.

Eating for less belly fat, better health, and more real nourishment.

The fifth strategy I talked about was called “Slow Down to Speed Up.”

It was about eating slower.

Eating slower, with awareness.

Eating slower to get results that can propel you forward.

It sounds counter-intuitive.

All movement is exercise

All movement is exercise

I’m working on strengthening my upper body.

For the past year or so, I’ve been having shoulder issues.

And I feel like I’ve lost some muscle in my arms and shoulders in general.

So, I’ve decided to get stronger.

Now I’m working out my arms and shoulders every second day.

Is Revenge Bedtime Procrastination an issue for you?

Last week I was away in Vancouver.

It was so great to be on a vacation again.

To visit new places, and meet people.

That’s where I found myself in a hot spring pool, talking to another woman who introduced me to the term Revenge Bedtime.

And although I knew about it as a concept, I didn’t know it had a name.

So, here’s what REVENGE BEDTIME PROCRASTINATION (which I found out is the actual term) is, in a nutshell:

YOU are your greatest asset

I love the idea that I am my greatest asset.

It’s a concept I learned from a fellow coach a few years ago.

It’s helped me realize my own value, and understand the importance of investing in myself.

So, I’m sharing it here with you.

YOU as an asset

So, normally we think of assets as relating to things of monetary value.

Things like our house, our car, our furniture, and our investments.

But assets can also be people, like the employees in a company.

And more specifically, an asset can be YOU.

The Courage to Be Disliked

Are you a PEOPLE-PLEASER?

If so, you’re not alone.

So many of us suffer from this “disease to please.”

And it can (and usually does) have a negative impact on your own self-care.

It can dictate whether you get out to exercise today.

It can allow others to control your schedule.

It can cause you to feel unhappy, and feel trapped.

And it can, of course, lead you to eat, or pick up other unhealthy habits to feel better.

Yet it seems like the right thing to do, right?
