Belly Fit Yoga this fall – on Zoom

I was hoping that this fall I’d be able to go back and teach Yoga at my local space.

But that’s not possible, given these Covid times.

So, that’s the bad news.

The good news, though, is that I’ll be teaching Yoga on Zoom, which allows me to reach many more of you!

And with Yoga online you can show up in your own space, dressed however you want.

You even have the option to join us live or practice at another time during the week with the recording.

I kind of love that teaching online means that Yoga is so much more accessible.

Because I think so so many of us need Yoga right now.

And if you’re perimenopausal, like me, then this Yoga class might be especially interesting for you.

Because each week I’ll be focusing on reducing belly fat, and healthy aging through perimenopause and beyond.

I really believe that Yoga is the perfect activity for perimenopause, and in particular, belly fat loss.

Why?

  • Because it combines physical movement with breathing and relaxation, all of which reduce stress and anxiety, and therefore help to reduce belly fat
  • Because it helps strengthen your muscles, in particular your core, which will in turn help improve your posture, strengthen your bones
  • Because it helps improve your balance and focus, which will help reduce injury, and keep you moving towards your goals
  • And most of all , it’s an all around great way to connect with your body and mind and help you bring awareness to what’s working and what’s out of balance.

Yoga actually helped me find balance at a difficult time.

I tried Yoga for the first time just over 10 years ago when I was injured with a hairline fracture in my pelvis, and couldn’t run; even walking was painful.

Life was hectic with a full-time job, two little kids, and a recent divorce.

To be honest, I wasn’t super excited about Yoga, but I knew it was a calm, no-impact activity that I could do.

So I joined a class.

And, unexpectedly, I fell in love.

Yoga got me to stop and notice my body, which was pretty tight and sore, mostly from the stress I’d been under.

Yoga had me really notice and feel my breathing, which I’d never really paid attention to, and showed me how to use it to reduce my anxiety.

And Yoga really helped slow down my incessant go-go-go mind, which allowed me to stop and experience life from a whole new perspective.

Also, the spiritual history of Yoga touched me deeply as well.

I loved Yoga so much, that three years later I became a certified teacher.

That was 2013.

And now, here I am in 2020, in the middle of a pandemic, perimenopausal, and more passionate about Yoga than ever.

If you’ve never tried Yoga before, my classes are simple and easy to follow.

I teach at a comfortable pace and give you as much instruction as I can.

I’m also available between classes for your questions and comments, including ideas for any modifications you might need.

Are you ready to do Yoga with me?

First class is on Thursday, September 24th at 7:30pm EDT.

And then classes will continue each Thursday evening after that for a total 10 classes.

Of course, if you’re not located in my Montreal time zone, that’s fine because the class will be recorded and sent to you, so you’ll have the week to check it out.

The cost of the 10-class session is only 99$ CAD.
