All you need is love

All you need is love.

It’s a great Beatles song.

But I think it’s also a pretty simple prescription for a good life.

You may have seen my email about my 21-Day Belly Fit Self-Love Challenge.

It starts Monday – Valentine’s Day…

Which, of course, isn’t a coincidence.

Usually, we think of Valentine’s Day being the day we declare our love to others.

And we’re usually hoping to receive love from others in return.

But I want to change that storyline.

Because it’s an old, outdated story.

And one that has us waiting on other people so we can feel validated, appreciated, loved.

One of the best lessons I’ve learned over the years is…

You aren’t loved because others love you.

You’re loved because you choose to feel loved.

And that means you don’t have to wait for anyone.

You can choose to feel loved now.

Even if your parents weren’t loving, or you’re not in a romantic relationship, or your kids don’t call, or you aren’t happy with your body.

Feeling loved is available to you at any time.

And making the choice to feel loved no matter what, is empowering.

Once you do that, all other love is just gravy.

And your capacity to love others will multiply.

I know it may seem kind of luxurious or even uncomfortable to think of loving yourself.

Because growing up, like me, you probably weren’t given this message.

You weren’t encouraged to love yourself.

No one explained the benefits of self-love, self-care, and self-compassion.

Instead, like me, you were probably warned not to be self-ish.

A very different message.

And one that has had you looking for love in all the wrong places.

Spending your time and energy everywhere, and on everyone, but yourself.

So, I have a new message for you to try on:

You are loved.

And in fact, you are love.

Not to get all woo-woo, but love is actually a vibration, and that vibration is always available to you.

It’s running through you.

All you need to do is tune into it.

Like using a radio to tune into the frequency (vibration) of a radio station.

You can tune into the vibration of love by thinking a thought like, “I am loved,” or “I am love.”

Or by closing your eyes, and imagining the warmth of your own hug.

Or by doing something that genuinely feels good to your soul.

We’ll be tuning into this love vibration for the next 3 weeks.

And I know that, at the end of these 3 weeks, you’ll notice a shift.

Not only in your mind, and the way you think of yourself…

But also, in your body.

You’ll notice your body radiating health and wellness that you may not have felt in a while.

Maybe ever.

And that’s what I really want for you.

At the end of these 21 days, I want you to feel more connected to this healthy, vibrant, gorgeous part of you.

It’s in alignment with this powerful thought:

Although it’s beautiful to love others, it’s transformative to love yourself.

So, if you can join me for 21 days starting Monday, I’d love for you to take this self-love journey with me.

We’ll be taking small steps together towards this destination of loving yourself.

So that you can feel good in your body, mind, and soul.

We’ll move, create space, reflect, and experiment.

I promise, it’s going to be fun!

And transformative.

Can’t wait to get this started!

Are you coming?

Debbie
